Hybrid ZF8 Swap - Part One: The Hardware
Modern automatic transmissions such as the ZF8HP family are able to provide a substantial performance and efficiency advantage to even legacy automotive powertrains, while improving driving dynamics substantially. This project consists of the physical gearbox swap, and ground up development of a control module for a ZF8HP automatic transmission. Despite requiring notable gearbox modification (the adaptation of a hybrid powertrain gearbox to be compatible with a traditional internal combustion vehicle), the biggest technical challenge of this project has been the development of the gearbox control system.
This article, part one, covers the physical gearbox swap. Part two, a work in progress, will cover the design and implementation of the electronics and control systems.

USDM Fiat 500 Abarth - TJET Swap and Standalone ECU Conversion
This section covers all of the information I have on what is one of my bigger projects - swapping a US Spec Fiat 500c Abarth (originally with a MultiAir engine) to a T-JET, so that a standalone ECU can be used. The goal is to retain all outwards facing OEM functionality, while providing a much higher degree of control of the cars powertrain.

Direct Injection High Pressure Pump - Standalone Control
It’s just a pump. How complicated could it be?
